PTA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Dear Parents

As you may know, Penygawsi has benefitted greatly for many years from a very active and successful Parent Teacher Association.

Many items in the yard, including the new playhouse in the nursery and trim trail in the juniors have been funded with money from the PTA.  In addition the PTA have organised many events each year just for the pupils.  These include discos, story nights and film nights.  The social aspects of these evenings for all of our pupils is invaluable and even more important than the money raised.

Being a member of the PTA is something that we would encourage every parent to do.   Being a member of the PTA is an excellent way of becoming involved in the life of the school and of being a member of the fantastic Penygawsi family.

The PTA are holding their first meeting of the new year next Monday, the 15th of September in the School Hall at 7:30pm.  Coffee and cake will be available for refreshments and everyone is welcome.

I would encourage all of our new parents to attend and to become part of the PTA.  Your children have the most to gain from a fully active PTA as they will be with us for the next seven years.

Whatever year group your child or children are in, being a member of the PTA is a great thing to do.  There is a little time commitment required but the benefits for you, the pupils and the school is well worth a few hours here and there throughout the year. 

I hope that I can encourage you to attend to make a contribution to the life of our school.  I look forward to seeing you at the meeting next Monday
