Finance Update
Cash balance is currently healthy with £6418.57
The HSBC Bank account has now been closed and all the new Lloyds Bank app is up and running, this will allow easier approval for payments to be made and will enable quicker bank transfers for any purchases made by people for PTA events.
The PTA funded the expenses for setting up the new ELSA room “Y Ddolyn” with £1000.
The Oxford reading buddy scheme that the PTA had previously agreed to support had subscriptions reduced due to the pandemic and such the spare funds are to be put to support the school with funds to update the Reading library across the school as the Oxford reading scheme is 10 years old.
£400 community grant from last year will be used to put money towards a new interactive whiteboard for the school hall.
2019 Charity commission all committee members have been set up and the outstanding finance details have been updated.
The PTA Constitution failed to upload to the Charity commission as there were differences to the 1999 version that they had on file. Rhian and James to work through the two versions to identify differences before it can be submitted.
2020 accounts will be updated at the AGM.
Working with the Charity commission has been quite complicated and it was asked if anyone that has experience of working with charities was available to help it would be very much appreciated.
Defibrillator update.
It was confirmed that we now have the funds available to start the purchase and installation of the defibrillator to be located outside the school entrance. The total cost will be £2592 and will include A stand and hook up to the electric power required. RCT will have to Install this and Mrs Harris is exploring further details. Online training on how to use the equipment will also be available, more details to follow.
